The next generation of of Curado baitcast reels sets the benchmark in everyday performance and saltwater durability with the new K series. A longtime favourite amongst Australian anglers, the Curado K series represents the next chapter in the iconic Curado legacy, featuring the latest in Shimano’s innovative MicroModule gearing and X-Ship for smooth rotation, combined with the new SVS Infinity braking system for enhanced casting performance. To withstand the toughest saltwater environments, Shimano has incorporated a specially plated pinion gear, combined with a breakwater wall and drainage port to provide superior protection against corrosion. This is further enhanced by Hagane Body to provide the reel with added durability and rigidity. Available in a 200 size in both right and left hand models in multiple gear ratios up to 8.5:1 and fitted with 6+1 Stainless A-RB bearings.

- Got me this new Curado when they came out two weeks ago. I've been fishing it hard since, and reckon its awesome! I had the old model and also a Tatula HD and this new Curado blows both away. The new gear Micromodule or something feels way smoother and just seems to have less play in it. Basically, the whole reel feels tighter and more comfortable than either of the others and casts further with less overrun issues. I did find it a little harder to dial in the cast control but now that it's done its bomb proof. Basically, this is the best reel for the money bar none.
