They are made from 5mm high quality black shock cord with a 27mm plastic ball tied to the end of the 21cm long loop. The shock cord can be feed through the eyelet of a tarpaulin, TarpMate or similar and then stretched to a hook or peg to secure it. They can also be wrapped around two or more things passing the end of the loop back over the ball to secure them tightly together.
