While it’s popular all over Australia, it’s especially favoured in Northern Australia for targeting big Barramundi. However, it's also effective on a variety of other species, including Australian Salmon, Tailor, Trout, Kingfish, and many estuary and coastal fish.
This lure features a distinctive rolling action with a slower tail beat, making it stand out from other Reidy’s lures. Being a shallow diver, it flashes its colours in the sunlight, attracting predators. Measuring 125mm in length and weighing 25g, it is known as one of the best cast-and-retrieve lures available. The flashing effect can be enhanced by twitching the rod tip, mimicking the movements of a fleeing baitfish.
The B52 is also effective as a trolling lure, maintaining its darting and pausing action when the rod tip is twitched. It is fitted with two heavy-duty size 1 treble hooks and heavy-duty split rings, ensuring durability. The internal rattles add extra attraction, and its ABS plastic body and bib make it tough and reliable. Under normal trolling conditions, it dives to approximately 1.5 metres and is ideal for slow trolling.
