The Pyzel Power Tiger is the next evolution of the popular Red Tiger, designed in collaboration with John John Florence for surfers chasing bigger and more powerful waves. Sitting perfectly between the Red Tiger and the Ghost, this board refines performance with a focus on speed, hold, and responsiveness in higher-quality conditions.
While the Red Tiger remains ideal for smaller, head-high and below waves, the Power Tiger steps in when the surf gets heavier.
Key Design Features:
- Refined Outline: A pulled-in nose and tail create more curve through the board, improving fit in hollow, cupped-out waves and enhancing responsiveness when driving into the lip at speed.
- Narrower Tail: Built to hold better at high speeds and through powerful turns, eliminating unwanted slide-outs while still adding looseness in tight pockets.
- Pulled-in Nose: Helps the board stay clean in the barrel and maintain flow through steep, critical sections.
- Thinner Rails: Allow deeper engagement in faster, more powerful waves, improving control when carving and knifing into barrels.
- Adjusted Tail Rocker: An extra ⅛" of curve in the last 18” of the tail increases looseness, rail-to-rail transition, and hold through critical turns.
Recommended Use:
The Power Tiger is best ridden when your Red Tiger starts to feel underpowered for the conditions. It’s suggested to ride it at the same length but with slightly less volume, or go an inch longer with a narrower build. Stock dimensions run approximately ¼” narrower and 1/16” thinner than the Red Tiger in equivalent lengths.Specifications:
